Initially, the large farmettes were
subdivided and sold off.
These totaled approximately 500 acres of the farm.
In an effort to maintain the agricultural nature of this area
and the farm itself, 400 of those 500 acres have agricultural
easements on them for use by our family in farming this property.
Part of it is rolling pastureland for livestock, and the rest
is in hay. So, while
these parcels were sold to help raise more than $5 million
under the reorganization plan, it remains in agricultural use as part
of the farm itself.
