We’ve had many opportunities to sell
the farm or portions of it over the years.
But Lauxmont is more than our livelihood – it’s a way of life
for the three generations who live here now and for the Kohr family
generations of the future.
Therefore, before selling off portions of the farm, a
professional land use plan was developed to guide our efforts to both
raise money and preserve the farm and its value.
The plan contemplated a combination of large farmettes with
agricultural easements, clustered residential and small villages.
This would enable us to raise sufficient monies and retain the
operating farm.
